On coping with change in Saligao...

Its really nice to see this community site. It’s a little young, but I guess it’ll gather “critical mass” in some time.

Saligao has changed -- a lot. It's totally different from what it was in the 80’s. And the only thing which is constant in the Universe is change.

What we can however do is adapt to the changes. The worst thing which can happen to a community is lack of belongingness. That’s what you see in the metro’s today people do not even know their next door neighbors.

I guess one way to allow Saligao to change gracefully, is for its people to remain “Saligaokars” no matter how many “changes” the village goes through! Great job .. for all those behind this site!!! -- Ajay Sinai Cuncoliencar, Jubilee hills – Hyderabad 8:25 PM. Listening to – Joe Satriani -- “Always with Me, Always with You”

[Moderator's note: Guess some of you know Ajay as the young son of Dr Cuncolienkar, the medico who treated a generation (together with Dr and Mrs Walke) in Saligao. We later encountered Ajay as a young GNU/Linux techie, and he is one of the success stories of the Free Software group in Goa! --FN]
