Saligao parish schedule

Saligao parish newsletter Maiecho Ulo/Mother's Call last page has a listing of the Mae de Deus church programmes and contacts. In case you're interested, it's as below.

Priests at the church are Fr Francisco Ataide (parish priest), Fr Carlisto Coelho (assistant parish priest), and there's Joaquim "Jack" Fernandes (office assistance) with seminarian Dylon D'Costa (regent).

Working hours are from 9 am to 12.30 pm on weekdays. The office remains closed on Sundays and holidays.

Programmes for the church are: Sundays 7 am, 8.30 am (English) and 9.30 am (children's mass), 5 pm (Hindi, on the last Saturday of the month). In St Anna's Chapel at 8.15 am. At Our Lady of Rosary Chapel at 7 am, and at St Cajetan's Chapel at 7.30 am.

On weekdays: 7 am in the church. 5 pm on Wednesdays (rosary, novena prayer and mass at 5.30 pm), and on the first Friday of the month at 5 pm (mass at 5.30 pm followed by adoration).

Baptism: The parish office should be informed a week or more in advance. Parents and god-parents need to attend Baptismal instruction on the previous Friday at 9 am.

Marriage: Inform at least three months in advance. Formalities can be done on any working day, during office hours.

Monthly communion/confession for the sick and elderly at their homes: Administered on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays before the first Friday of each month. Mondays: D'Mello Vaddo, Salmona, Nigvaddo, Sonarbhat, Cruz Vaddo, Siqueira Vaddo, Abreu Vaddo and Bairo Alto. Tuesdays: Grande Morod, Pequeno Morod, Goletem and Cotula. Thursdays: Muddavaddo, Tabra Vaddo, Mollembhat and Donvaddo.

Annointing of the sick: the priests are available any time.
